Lipo, one of Switzerland’s five largest furniture retailers, operates 23 stores alongside a robust online platform. Until 2018, Lipo faced significant challenges with its e-commerce site, including frequent disruptions, downtime, and a lack of mobile responsiveness due to its outdated SAP Hybris 5.4 platform. In response, Allquanto proposed and implemented several key improvements. These enhancements stabilised Lipo’s online presence and positioned it for future growth and scalability.
Focusing on upgrading the infrastructure and implementing a mobile-responsive template, the decision was made to transition Lipo’s processes to the new SAP Commerce platform. This technical upgrade was completed over six months of dedicated effort, culminating in a successful go live. Following the project’s success, Allquanto was retained as Lipo’s eCommerce service provider, responsible for ongoing maintenance and the implementation of future enhancements. Additionally, Allquanto took on several internal projects, including media conversion, marketplace integrations, SEO analytics, further optimizing Lipo’s digital operations.
The interface prioritised intuitive navigation, engaging visuals with new icons, and reducing friction along the customer journey for seamless checkout processes for an optimised shopping experience.

The zero-downtime deployment was a key improvement in the CI/CD operation, allowing business to adapt quickly to new requirements and deploying new features at any time of the day.
Working directly with Digital Chief Officer and Marketing Managers, we designed custom promotions, newsletters, loyalty programs and product recommendations based on impressions that increased conversions and boosted revenue.

With teams in Europe and South America we ensure that the online shop is up and running outside EU business hours with proactive monitoring and support. Identification of performance issues and promptly support. Overnight data integration with the ERP system has been carefully monitored and any blocking operation would get quickly resolved.
12 months after the project was complete the results are outstanding. Lipo eCommerce platform has been performing well and stable, sales boosted, customer retention increased and Allquanto dedicated team for Lipo consisted of an application support consultant, 2 frontend and 2 backend developers.
